HiBye ("we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

• Waitlist signups: if you request early access, we collect the email address you provide.
• App usage: once you use the HiBye app, we collect your chosen languages, session activity, and ratings you give or receive, in order to operate the matching and chat features.
• Anonymous sessions: by default, HiBye accounts are anonymous and are not linked to your name or contact details unless you choose to sign in with a third-party provider.

How we use information

• To operate core features: matching you with a language partner, running chat sessions, and applying session ratings.
• To respond to early access requests and product inquiries.
• To maintain the safety of the platform, including reviewing reports of misuse.

What we don't do

• We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
• We do not share your chat messages outside of what is required to operate the service or respond to a safety report you file.
